This is absolutely true in principle, in a good economy where there is more work to be had in your chosen field. And yeah, sick days and leave and insurance shouldn’t be up to the goodwill of your employer, since they have no real incentive to give those things to you, especially when the economy is bad and your options for finding other work are limited. Which is why those things should be regulated like in every other industrialized nation.
