I just used an old stereoscopic photograph from this archive and then combined them in Photoshop. I think the only trick to it is making sure the point of focus in the pictures are lined up- trying to line up the background or foreground elements just doesn’t work....

Melancholia is surprisingly upbeat for a Lars von Trier film about chronic depression and the end of the world. It would be awesome if we could start encouraging mini-communes of single parents who help each other out with bills and babysitting duties, so basically the financial benefits of marriage without some hetero-romantic prerequisite. Is there a way to create tax incentives for that kind of arrangement? Also? It hasn’t been really a thing to talk about since...
